Happy National Different Colored Eye Day!
This day was founded by Joan Quinn of B Able, Inc. This day recognizes those who have two different colored eyes. Those select few who have two different colored eyes have a condition called heterochromia. There are three different types of heterochromia: complete, partial, and central. Complete heterochromia is when one iris is a different color from the other. Partial heterochromia is when part of one iris is a different color from the rest of the iris. And lastly, central heterochromia is when an inner ring is a different color than the rest of the iris. Most cases of this condition are found to be hereditary, which can be caused by a disease, syndrome, or due to traumatic injury as well.
